Lacey is working with a friendly Independent practice in Essex, who are currently looking to recruit a Vet Surgeon for their team:
They are a 3-vet independent, small animal practice based in Essex. They have three Vets (and want to expand to 4), 2 experienced RVNs’, 2 SVNs’, 3 receptionists and 3 Animal Care Assistants.
They can offer a Fantastic work-life balance at their supportive practice. All vets work a 4-day week (although part time applicants will be considered too), with the same day off each week, and only 1:3 Saturday’s mornings with additional TOIL. They do look after their own inpatients (1 day per week), but all critical cases and new emergencies are covered by an external OOHs provider.
They are able to support new graduates, with the owner completing the VetGDP advisor training to offer this. And seeing a huge variety of cases so career will develop rapidly. They will also be happy to support a medical, surgical, ophthalmology or imaging certificate,if you are looking to further your career.
What they are offering:
• Salary ranges from £35,000 for a new grad up to £70,000 for an experienced Vet
• New graduate vet programme
• Annual leave starting at 6 weeks with entitlement increasing with long service to over 7 weeks
• RCVS and VDS fees paid, as well as other subscriptions if appropriate.
• CPD £1500 and 5 days
• Certificate support and funding
