Dans client in Essex is looking for a dedicated Vet Surgeon, who is ready to take the next step in their career and join their talented and supportive team as their Lead Vet!
• Lead Veterinary Surgeon
• Salary up to £70,000 (DOE)
• Full-time, 40 hours per week (across 4 days)
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
• No OOHs
• Will consider part-time/flexible hours
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Vet to step into a leadership position within a progressive, well-equipped practice. You will collaborate with the clinical nursing manager to shape the clinical direction of the team, while delivering a high standard of quality care to patients.
As a lead Vet you will be responsible for guiding and supporting the clinical team to deliver outstanding pet care, play a key-role in decision making and mentoring and build the practice culture with strong collaboration and purpose. All with the support of the highly experienced practice director.
Their current team consist of 4 experienced vets and dedicated nursing/support staff, all who are extremely supportive of each other. The practice boasts state-of-the-art facilities including a large imaging suite, laparoscopy, X-ray, duel operating theatres, 5 consult rooms, separate cattery and kennels, and a dedicated “goodbye” room. They also have close relationships with the nearby specialist hospitals (just 5 minutes down the road).
The ideal person for this role will be confident and have strong routine surgical skills. It would be favourable if you have previous experience as a Senior or Lead Vet, however this isn’t a requirement. If you are looking to step up, this might be the perfect role for you! Further benefits to expect with this role include:
• 5 weeks holiday + birthday leave + bank holidays
• Funded external CPD (including certificates on approval)
• Paid RCVS and VDS fees
• Enhanced equal family leave and sickness pay
