A newly redeveloped practice in Gloucestershire is hiring a Vet Nurse to join their highly-motivated, constantly evolving team!
• Full or Part-time (open to discussion)
• Competitive Salary of £25,000-£32,000 (DOE)
• Rota shift timings vary with a mix of earlier and later shifts.
• Some weekend work (Currently 1:7)
• No OOHs
• Situated right on the edge of the Cotswolds
The practice is in Gloucestershire, which is centrally placed with excellent transport links, and has the outstanding natural countryside beauty of the Cotswolds on your doorstep.
They are looking for an RVN to join their team of driven individuals, including many with post qualification certificates.
The current team consists of 21 Day RVNs, 2 SVNs, 6 Night Nurses and 6 kennel Assistants, who all work incredibly hard to support this busy RCVS PSS accredited Small Animal Hospital.
As a RVN here, you will enjoy a great work-life balance as well as a varied caseload where schedule 3 is actively encouraged and additional training/qualifications are supported.
From an interpersonal team perspective, they hold regular events, including a summer social and Christmas party plus planned and ad hoc events in-between. Ideal if you are looking for a job with additional opportunities to socialise amongst a friendly team. In recent years, they have also had a visiting pancake chef on Shrove Tuesday. Who doesn’t enjoy informal sweets and treats?
Other activities have included golf driving range excursions, bowling and darts; offering something for everyone!
Applicants must be reliable, hardworking, have a passion for providing gold standard care and be confident in every aspect of their nursing rota. As an approved training practice, being a clinical coach would be advantageous. Additionally, training can be given if you would like to support student nurses. Ideally, you’ll have a strong interest in anaesthesia/surgery, but they are willing to discuss other interests.
They have their own dedicated night team so there are no OOH shifts although there is the opportunity the provide holiday cover if you wish.
