My client based in Bovey Tracey are looking for a qualified RVN with at least one year's experience who is clinically competent to take on all roles of nursing including nurse clinics, and is confident working in a team or solo. Ideally you will be a clinical coach or are looking to train as a clinical coach. This will enable the team to continue to train up and support their student veterinary nurse/s. They are a friendly, independently owned mixed practice based. Their professional team is growing, with 8 veterinary surgeons currently and another vet joining them in August.

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours a week comprising of a mixture of shifts worked between 8 am and 7 pm, 5 days a week Monday to Friday. The position requires the successful applicant to join the (generally quiet) on call rota with 1 in 6 weeknights/weekends on call. A retainer is paid for on call duties, plus you are paid for time worked if called in. This is in addition to the salary shown and is paid on a scale between time, time & a half, and double time, dependent on when worked. The successful applicant will work with a team of experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses providing the very best patient and client care.
Applicant Requirements: Applicants should be efficient, dedicated and have excellent organisational skills, with a desire to deliver consistently great results. Duties will be varied and will include assisting the veterinary team with surgical and medical cases as well as general nursing duties. The successful candidate will work with the nursing team to provide nurse clinics, which can be expanded in areas of interest and expertise. You will be a great communicator, have a positive 'can do' attitude and excellent bedside manner. A clinical coaching qualification would be required, although training can be provided, as we value CPD and wish to continue to encourage and develop their upcoming clinical team.
