Night Vet Nurse Needed in Gloucestershire – ASAP Start

Our client is recruiting for a dedicated Night Nurse to join them working nights on a 7 on / 7 off basis. Candidates must be willing to work out of hours and be confident with lone working on occasion.

You must be confident with quick thinking, problem solving, decision making and have excellent communication skills. Experience with nights and referrals is advantageous, however not essential. You must be competent with inpatient care, and able to maintain calm in emergencies.

This role requires a candidate confident covering the overnight inpatient care of the first opinion and referral patients. There is a wide variety of cases between the first opinion and referral work meaning no two nights are the same. You will also take calls from out of hours emergencies allowing you to use your triage skills.

The practice itself has brand new wards, separate cat, dog, exotic and isolation wards, and is in the process of expansion. They are well-equipped with all the usual facilities expected within a referral hospital, as well as an onsite CT scanner.

You will be working closely with a team of 7 first opinion Vets, 8 referral specialists, 37 RVNs, SVNs and HAs.
