My client in Cornwall is looking for an enthusiastic part time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their successful, growing team on a fixed term contract for 6-12 months. They are looking for an enthusiast character with the ability to problem solve and work well independently and as part of a team.
All the staff at the practice strive to achieve that great work/life balance so they can be flexible on this role but ideally you will be working 2 or 3 days a week plus Saturdays on rotation, which is currently only 1 per month. Average weekly hours of 19- 27 depending on days.
They also have state of the art equipment including:
Capnograph
Ultrasonography
Multi parameter anaesthetic monitoring
IV pumps
Endoscopy
Patient warming system
Electrosurgery
Onsite arthroscopy and laparoscopy (including key hole spays)
Ethylene Oxide Sterilisation
Orthopaedic surgery and a surgical certificate holder who runs the ship!
Separate cat and dog wards, 2 theatres, visiting certificate holders offering the chance to see and learn more and a friendly warm team who like to work hard and have fun. Working and supporting together as a team is extremely important there.
Their current team consists of 3 vets, 4 RVN, 2 SVN , 6 receptionists and a practice manager and they are looking for someone to join their work family .
Nurses are utilised here and nurses clinics , clinical coaching , surgery and medical nursing are all areas an individual could develop and grow should they wish.
CPD is generously funded, encouraged, and planned, and getting better every day is a mantra they live by as a team. No OOH and weekends on rotation currently 1:4. An RVN with clinical coach qualifications or desire to learn would be wonderful, but not essential.
