My clients in Cheshire have a few new openings for new head nurses to join their teams. They also have RVN roles available if desired instead.
1. As a small practice with very good support from the Clinical Director this could provide an opportunity for someone to progress into their first leadership role.
Hours are based on 37.5 hours a week on a rota system Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. The role involves working weekends as part of a rota ,1:4 Saturdays 8:30 am to 12 noon which is taken back as TOIL when worked. The role involves working 1:8 Saturday or Sundays and up to two Bank Holidays per year. There is the opportunity to consider working 4 longer days and also for less than full-time hours for the right candidate.
2. 2 vets, 4 in the nursing team including qualified and SVN, 4 Receptionists
This role would suit someone who wants the small community town vets feel, working in a close knit team where everyone supports each other and works closely together. Well equipped practice that would suit someone who wants to make the role their own and bring ideas to the table on how they would like to run nurse clinics and develop the nursing care in the practice. They have a reception team who manage the diary so the day runs smoothly without the need for over booking appointments or ops list. This means that barring unexpected emergencies we get their lunches and finish on time!
This is a part-time role working 4 days a week. The ideal hours* for the role would be Mon & Fri 9 am to 5:30 pm, Tues & Thu 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and includes 1:6 Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Plus 1:8 Saturday or Sundays and 1 to 2 Bank Holidays per year at the Hospital. *They could consider some flexibility in these hours for the right candidate.
3. 5 Vets (3 FT, 2 PT), 6 Nursing Staff (mix of qualified, SVN's and ACA), 6 Receptionists/Administrators
Newly refurbished practice with excellent facilities and equipment. Clinical Coaching opportunities. As this is a larger team they ideally require someone with previous line management experience.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours a week on a rota working between 8:30 am to 7:00 pm over 4 or 5 days Monday to Friday and includes working 1:6 Saturdays 8.30-4 taken back as TOIL. 1:8 weekends where the rota is worked 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday and a share of Bank Holidays (which usually means working one/maximum two weekends a year).
Salary levels for roles are just below £30k to £34,613 pa based on previous experience, qualifications and skills. This is for a 37.5 hour week so pro-rated for part-time hours. Any hours worked over 37.5 are paid at time and a half for some of the practices above. They all have an excellent benefit scheme that includes (on top of salary):-
Twice a year discretionary bonus scheme
30 days holiday pa (including Bank Holidays) opportunity to buy or sell extra days
Healthshield benefits (money back towards general wellbeing costs)
Fun social events
Dedicated Reception team so you can focus on nursing duties
