Tash's client based in Cumbria is looking for an Assistant Practice Manager to join their team and support the Practice Manager and Clinical Directors in delivering a first class veterinary service to their clients and their pets, and the many visitors they see each year.
They are a mixed-practice who provide care to Small Animals, Equine and Farm Animals and have a multi-disciplinary referral team including behaviour, surgery, dentistry and rehabilitation.
They have a dedicated team of 11 Vets, 8 nurses, 11 support staff and 2 physiotherapists, split between the two branches.
They are looking for a candidate to join them who is enthusiastic, hard working and a team player with experience in administration and used to working in a busy and varied environment.
This role includes (but is not limited to):
• Assisting the Practice Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice.
• Helping run performance and finance related reports.
• Assisting with practice financial management related tasks.
• Supporting the Practice Manager in managing a team from recruitment, annual reviews, absence management and anything in between.
• Managing client queries
• Being part of a friendly team
Ideally, you will be able to work 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday), but they would consider part-time for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate would have some experience of the veterinary industry. However, applicants with related experience in a non-veterinary industry are welcome to apply.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint would be useful.
