SV250240
Our client, an independent small animal practice based in Wiltshire, surrounded by natural beauty, is looking to recruit a Vet to join them ASAP.
The role is available full or part time, in their newly renovated branch. The hours are sociable with regular 5pm finishes, as well as a half day per week.
The practice provides its own out of hours service, the rota currently involves covering 1:6 weekends and Saturday mornings and usually 1 weekday night.
A typical week involves:
• 1 or 2 shifts 8.45am to 5pm
• 1 or 2 shifts 8.45am to 6pm
• 1 half day pw 8.30am to 1pm (with additional Friday half day following a weekend on call)
• 1 on call day 8.30am to 6.30pm (the nurse on duty takes the on-call phone)
The independence means you do not have to focus on financial targets and KPIs, but instead your experience in clinical decision making.
The position involves both consults and operating, but can be tailored for an individuals strength. As you’d expect this includes two sterile operating theatres, an imaging suite with endoscopy, digital X-ray and ultrasound including dedicated cardiac probe. There is also a dental theatre with dental x-rays, a dedicated and fully stocked laboratory as well as separate cat, dog and isolation wards.
There is many great benefits including a competitive salary (DOE) ranging from £35,000 for a New Grad to up to £67+,000 for an experienced Vet, a generous CPD allowance with no set cap and certificates supported and fully funded and the option of accommodation.
