This dedicated, kind team that work hard to establish solid bonds with clients and their pets are looking to recruit a Vet Surgeon. They are understanding and demonstrate this through regular structured team and department communications, where your voice will be heard, and they will evolve and develop together as a team supporting each other.

No out of hours and no Sundays are required, this position can be flexible around what is important to you, working patterns are mouldable, be it around childcare, study, certificate time or wellbeing, they acknowledge and respect everyone is individual and their needs will vary.

Located in North Yorkshire the practice has excellent transport links and the diversity of having both the facilities of a vibrant City as well as rural and beach life on the door step.

The Practice is well established and flourishing with a wide variety of interesting medical and surgical cases. With usual day to day diagnostics such as otoscope, ophthalmoscope, tonometer, microscopy, glucometer, and in addition to this digital radiography, in house catalyst, lasercyte & sedivue, ultrasound and a good range of orthopaedic equipment primarily for fracture fixation. Your working day will also have time built in for admin and client prescriptions, time that is often missed off from traditional ways of working, but paramount in being part of what is needed to provide the clinical care and service that is needed by today’s clients.

A high proportion of clients are insured, but they also offer financial assistance via Klarna as well as having a PDSA local to eligible clients. There are 3 world class referral centres within an hour’s drive for clients giving them the choices they may need, all with whom we have and excellent rapport.
You will be joining an established team including 4 Vets, 5 Nurses working to schedule 3, all fully supported by 4 Client Care Advisors and a Client Services Manager.
