My client in Scotland exciting opportunity for a proactive and dedicated Registered Head Veterinary Nurse to take the reins of a nursing team on a permanent basis. This is a key leadership role where you will manage and inspire a team of Veterinary Care Assistants and a Dispensary Assistant, while actively engaging in nurse consultations, theatre nursing, and inpatient care.
As the Head Veterinary Nurse, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nursing department, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Your focus will be on empowering your team, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving clinical standards forward. They offer extensive opportunities to grow your skillset, including access to niche industry training, fully supported and funded by them.
This is a busy, hands-on nursing role where you’ll be fully immersed in utilising your skills as part of a dynamic and supportive team. You’ll also have the chance to collaborate with the vets, one of whom is starting an exotics certificate and another pursuing a surgical certificate. Additionally, our team includes vets with a keen interest in imaging, and we are open to supporting an RVN who is eager to pursue CPD in Ultrasound to assist with patient scanning.

This full-time, permanent role consists of 37.5 hours per week, with 1:6 Saturdays (paid in lieu), and they are happy to offer the flexibility of a 4- or 5-day week depending on your preference.
Offering a salary of up to £33,000k.
