We are looking to recruit a Surgery Specialist Veterinary Surgeon to join this dedicated team including skilled nurses, patient care assistants and receptionists in Nottinghamshire.
The practice has an established network of transferring practices and they would love a specialist to support them in growing further. They've also started building a new site extension, adding in new kennels and a second theatre alongside the existing resources like the on-site CT scanner and MRI which are heavily used to assist with pre-surgical assessments and planning.
The role is full time, working 39 hours per week over 4 days. There is also 1 in 8 weekends.
Candidates applying for this role must be confident with:
- Ensuring all team members provide quality and ethical care
- Assessing, examining and diagnosing patients medical issues
- Performing surgery, dress and treat wounds / diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
- Prescribing medication.
- Promoting preventative care
- Educating clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets/livestock.
- Carrying out euthanasia in cases where deemed absolutely necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Maintaining patients medical records.
- ETC
The clinic has a fantastic local reputation, the team of vets includes several established certificate holders supported buy a head nurse one RVN, an SVN and four client care assistants.
