PDSA in Plymouth are looking for a Locum Vet to join their team from ASAP, on an ongoing basis, whilst they look to recruit a permanent member of staff.
A standard day shift is 7.5 hours and can range from 8am-4.30pm to 9.30am - 6pm depending on what duty is being covered (i.e. back of house/front of house/late vet). They are potentially looking for someone to work 5 days per week week who can ideally take a share of the on-call/weekend rota.
They close at 6pm every day and their out of hours emergency care is outsourced, but they do keep recovering/low risk patients onsite with an auxiliary, so there would be an on-call requirement once a week for any inpatients that require veterinary intervention (this is unusual).
The weekend pattern is one in six, but importantly, they require at least one weekend shift on 27/28th May, which would include an on-call shift on Friday 26th. Weekend working hours are 9am-6pm and are emergency care only.
This role would suit an experienced small animal vet, who is confident in emergency situations and most standard surgery.
All payments must be paid through umbrella company.
Please get in touch if you're able to help and would like to discuss further: 01395 200189 / jenna.ormrod@synergyvets.com
