Mixed Practice Seeks S/A Vet (Small Amount of Exotics + LA Work)

Our client in County Durham requires a small animal vet to join their mixed practice on a permanent basis from March onwards. Work load is 95% small animal, 5% exotics with some Large Animal work possible. You will be working 5 days a week Monday to Friday between 08:30-18:30, Saturday morning 08:30-12:00 and one in four weeks out of hours for four days a week. During on call weeks you will get the Friday and Monday off together to give a long weekend (this will take place every 4 to 6 weeks). This is a RVN training practice with several nursing staff (both qualified and in training). Vets are encouraged to follow their own cases and CPD can be funded. The practice is well equipped with a comfy staff room. The practice does do home visits and there is a practice car which can be used. There is no accommodation but there is an accommodation allowance to allow you to rent a local property. You get 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. Professional indemnity insurance is paid for by the practice and the salary is DOE.
