Laceys client in Middlesex are looking for a locum Vet to work at their branch surgery from January 4th ideally and preferably on-going (for at least 3 months). However, shorter term candidates that can cover the first half of January will also be appreciated.
**4 day week (day off can vary each week)
**Monday, Wednesday and Friday are 9am - 7.15pm/ Tuesday and Thursday are 9am - 4.15pm
**1 Saturday AM in 5 ( 8.30am-1pm)
**1 Full weekend DUTY in 5 from main Hospital. The hours for that is 8.30am - 6pm (phones to Vets Now at 5pm) and then inpatient care until Monday 8.30am. Sunday in the clinic with the nurse 9am - Midday, but other than that the vet organises their own time / checks according to clinical need. There is a nurse on duty with them should they need any assistance.
**1 in-patient DUTY a week - nurses check the in-patients during the week with the vet available on the phone / to come in should they need advice/ or there is an unstable patient for example. VetsNow take the phones OOH so all OOH's relates to inpatient care only.
**The practice comprises of a waiting room/reception, consulting room and small theatre to carry out all routine operations and minor procedures. More complex surgeries are referred to main hospital
**Accommodation can be provided above the surgery
**A car is preferable - this allows easier flexibility to travel between 2 sites during the day if required.
**Must be confident with all usual consults and surgery - including un-assisted bitch spays. Telephone support can be given from the vets at the hospital.
**Rates negotiable and to reflect experience, with all pay methods accepted
