Our client in Lancashire is looking to recruit a Vet to join their team in Lancashire. The role is available as either full or part time (ideally full), to ensure candidates find the right work / life balance. It comes with 1 in 4 weekends however no out of hours. The working day is 8:30 - 19:30 Monday – Friday, and weekend hours are Saturday 9:00 – 16:00, Sunday 10:00 – 16:00.
The practice is well-established and pride themselves on being welcoming and able to help all colleagues to reach their goals. It has earned ISFM Silver Cat Friendly and RWAF Silver Rabbit Friendly practice awards.
The team is supportive and is made up of 3 Vets, all with varied interests, the Head Nurse, five RVNs, two SVNs and two VCAs. There is also the front of house team consisting of a Client Care Manager, three Client Care Advisors and a Practice Administrator.
Ideally candidates applying for this role will have 2+ years experience, and must be confident in all routines surgeries and consultations.
Details on the role:
• Consults start at 9:00 with 20-minute slots for all sick pet work
• Regular catch-up slots throughout the day
• Slots allocated for pets needing to be seen same day or within 3 days
• No double booking of consults
• Nurse triages for emergencies
• Regular breaks – for a full day shift this would be 15 minutes morning break, 30 minutes lunch and 15 minutes afternoon break
• Closed to clients 30 minutes before the end of the working day, and the last consult slot is 1 hour before closing – this means finishing late is a rarity
• Vet dinners – every few months we will get together for a pub tea!
