Tash is working with a practice in East Sussex who is seeking a Head nurse for their team on a permanent basis.
The candidate chosen will be required to report to the Practice Manager and will be at the forefront of managing all aspects of the nursing team, ensuring excellent teamwork and the highest level of clinical care is provided along with your day-to-day nursing duties. You will also be required to take on extra responsibilities to make sure the practice is running smoothly.
The duties of this role are as follows below;
Manage the Nursing Team and stocking levels
Rotas for both Vets & Nurses, static and rotating staff, to include sick cover rotas. Organise holidays cover, out of hours cover, CPD and college attendance.
Support the partners in new projects/encourage team involvement in new projects to ensure the smooth running and continual improvement of the practice.
Recruitment – conduct interviews, carry out inductions, organise & issue starter packs (ensure they are current for both Vets & Nurses).
Training – organise in-house training for all Nurses & ensure all RVN’s are up to date with their CPD. Equipment maintenance – ensure all staff members are trained adequately & that SOPs are current. All issues with equipment are dealt with promptly.
