    About This Role

    A full-time opportunity is available for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, forward-thinking team in Cardiff!

    • Salary: £36,000–£66,000 (depending on experience)
    • Hours: Full Time
    • A 4-day working week with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
    • No out-of-hours commitments!

    This is an RCVS-accredited first opinion practice that places a strong emphasis on excellent patient care, outstanding client service, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

    The successful candidate will join a well-established team of 8 full-time equivalent vets, 12 RVNs, 1 SVN, 4 ANAs, and a dedicated reception team. The practice operates across two well-equipped branches located within 3 miles of each other, both offering full surgical and diagnostic facilities.

    The role offers:
    • A friendly and collaborative team environment that encourages clinical discussions and case reviews
    • 15-minute consults with dedicated admin time to follow up on cases
    • Dedicated surgical days, allowing vets to fully work up and manage their own cases
    • A loyal client base, offering the chance to build long-term client relationships
    • Full support for new or recently graduated vets, including guidance from multiple certificate holders and VetGDP mentors
    • A varied and interesting caseload, ideal for those looking to pursue a certificate
