Laceys client in Bristol are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team full-time! You will be a key member of their surgery’s team, delivering excellent clinical care and outstanding customer service.
• Vet Surgeon role – with surgical certificate/GP with strong surgical bias
• Salary £50,000 to £70,000 (DOE)
• Full-time, 39 hours per week (4 days)
• 1 in 4 weekend rota
• Must have 3+ years GP experience
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and client-focused Veterinary Surgeon. As a vital part of the practice, you’ll play an integral role in providing outstanding clinical care and exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include delivering preventative healthcare, treating unwell or injured pets, and showing a genuine passion for promoting animal wellbeing.
Full-time vets typically work a 4-day week, with a consistent day off to support a healthy work-life balance. Each shift is 9 hours long and includes a mix of consulting and surgical duties across the week. Shift times vary with 8-5:30, 9:30 to 7pm and 10:30-8pm. To support effective communication and admin, each Vet gets a dedicated hour each day for administrative tasks - scheduled right into the working day.
Their weekend rota currently follows a 1 in 4 pattern.

The practice is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Veterinary Surgeon to become a key member of the surgery’s team. They are looking for a Vet who either already holds a surgical certificate or has over three years of general practice experience with a strong surgical bias.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering preventive services, treating sick and injured pets, and demonstrating a genuine passion for promoting pet wellbeing. Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork are essential, with the ability to integrate well with both clinical and non-clinical team members.

The Bristol surgery is staffed by a team of five vets, led by their Head Vet, with a mix of full and part-time roles. They are supported by the Head Nurse, along with five other RVNs and a dedicated Client Experience Team.
