Registered Vet Nurse Role in Independent Practice in Manchester – Full Time

Our client is looking to recruit a full time RVN to join their team, 40 hours a week. This is available across 4 or 5 days, and includes half hour paid lunch break. There is a 1 in 3 weekend rota, working 8.45am-4.45pm Saturday and 8.45am-12.45pm Sunday with 1.5 days off in lieu during week.

If working over 5 days, shift patterns are either 8.30-4.30, 9-5, 10-6 or 11.30-7.30. There are 2 later nights per week on Tuesday and Thursday hence the 7.30pm finish.

Candidates must be able to conduct themselves to a high standard of excellence and always seek ways to improve. They must also be able to effectively adapt behaviour to the demands of the work environment in order to remain productive.

Duties will include but not limited to;
**Preparing environment & animals for procedures
**Selection and preparation of equipment and materials for non-surgical procedures
**Care and nurse animals, administer medication etc
**Maintain health and safety within the practice
**Prepare diagnostic test equipment and materials
**Collect samples from animals & provide the results of such tests
**Assist vets in diagnosing illness and injury in animals
**Assist veterinary surgeon during surgical procedures
**Assist recovery of animals after surgical procedures
**Prepare anaesthetic equipment and materials
**Prepare animals for anaesthesia
**Maintain supply of veterinary materials and availability of equipment
