Our client is looking to recruit a Practice Manager to join their team. The practice is highly regarded, well-equipped and has a dedicated team.
The role of the Practice Manager includes many aspects, some of which are as follows:
**Animal welfare - ensuring animals are receiving a high standard of veterinary care in a timely manner
**Clinic support operations- ensure requests for appointments, etc are managed professionally, ensure internal and external areas are kept clean, manage complaints, liaise with local welfare agencies, ensure accurate records are kept, etc
**Finance - advise on all matter relating to finance of practice, draw up annual income/expenditure budgets, ensure all money taken at the practice is recorded properly, submit all financial returns, etc.
**Staff management - advise HR of issues, direct line management of all staff on-site, manage appraisal team, ensure staff records are up to take, oversee recruitment, etc.
**Health and safety - Ensure premises are safe and secure, ensure staff are trained, ensure fire notices are displayed, maintain incident/accident reports
**Clinic infrastructure - oversee repairs, ensure all waste is recorded and disposed of correctly, ensure staff treat building and contents with respect, etc.
**Stock management - ensure drugs are ordered, secure and managed with accordance to government legislation, maintain accurate records of stock, etc.
**Staff accommodation - initiate repairs to accommodation and ensure damage is notified, inspect accommodation,etc
**Marketing and communications - help with fundraising, external marketing, newsletters, etc
