MUDDY DOG CHALLENGE!

We are currently looking for a Nurse to support the Muddy Dog Challenge, events are 2.5km or 5km obstacle courses that participants tackle with their dogs by their side. The events are organised by Battersea Dogs and Cats home, to raise funds for the charity. We have between 500 and 1,200 participants and their dogs attending. However, participants take part in groups of 25 so everyone is spread out throughout the day. They have been running the events for the past 6 years.  

They are looking for a vet nurse to attend the event, should there be in any incidents. They have a lot of safety precautions in place so big incidents are extremely rare, and are usually very small things such as cuts and scratches, thorns in paws, mud in eyes or minor bites. The vets and vet nurse will be based in their event village, with a table and chairs and gazebo. Participants will come over for advice if they are concerned, and if there is an incident out on the course, vets will be transported to the incident via vehicle.
 Vets and nurses would be required on site at the events from 9am - 6pm. Some days might be slightly shorter, but exact times will be confirmed ahead of the event.

Hours they are looking for are 9.30-4.30pm!

It is such a lovely event, and the days are usually very quiet for the vets and nurses, and you will get to spend the majority of the day enjoying watching participants and their dogs having a nice day out whilst getting paid!
