My client in Bristol have an exciting new vacancy for a Head Nurse to join their team, and lead the nursing side.
The role is full time, ideally 40 hours per week (although will consider 35+ hrs), and how these are spread can be flexible. i.e. you could work 4 x long days or 5 x shorter days across the week. There is also a 1;5 shared weekend rota between all the nurses, and these hours are included in your average hours. You will need to be able to commit to some late finishes, to ensure fairness across the team and to lead by example. There are no OOHs required though.
They are looking for a confident, experienced and forward thinking RVN who has previous experience in leading a team, and can motivate Vets and Nurses in their day to day to tasks.
You will need to have a positive can-do attitude and be good at boosting moral within the team, as we all know not every day within Veterinary practice is puppy cuddles and nail clips, and some days can be harder than others.
You will be leading a team of 3 Nurses, and 1 SVN and 2 part time VCAs and will be reporting to and supported by the practice manager and practice owners in your role, although the practice has a family feel about it and everyone works together to achieve the best results and offer the best service to their clients/patients.
Salary offers will be reflective of experience in the range of £30-35,000 per annum, plus the company offer many other benefits as part of their package including (but not limited to); 5.6 weeks holidays, membership and CPD funding, pension scheme, rewards and discounts.
