Our client in Bridgend is looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and compassionate qualified nurse to join their very busy team at their fully equipped hospital in Bridgend, South Wales.
As a nurse at the practice you will see a variety of cases both medical and surgical and will be able to be heavily involved in all aspects of what it is to be an RVN. They have a variety of zones which are rotated on a weekly rota. This will give you amble opportunity to experience the day-to-day running’s e.g., wards, laboratory, dispensary, theatre, nurse consults etc. You must be able to drive as although you will be based at the hospital in Bridgend, you will also be required to work in our branches when necessary.
The branches are based in Porthcawl, Barry, Pencoed, Cowbridge ; Llantrisant. The ideal candidate will be willing to work as part of a large team but also be able to work independently. They expect their nurses to have high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, be efficient and proactive. You must have a passion for caring for animals, and excellent customer-service skills as they pride themselves in the level of care that is provided to their patients and clients.
You will be on a 5 day a week rota and weekend work is also required which you will receive time back in lieu after working your allocated weekend shift. Holidays are 5.6 weeks inclusive of bank holidays. Additional holiday will be accrued after 3 years’ service. They have a generous CPD allowance of £600 per annum ; 3 days fully paid. RCVS fees are paid for and a yearly subscription to an organisation of your choice. They also have health shield benefits ; pension.
