A Hospital in West Sussex is seeking a new Vet Surgeon to join their encouraging team. An ideal candidate for this role will have an interest in internal medicine, with significant experience in diagnostics. It would be advantageous if you have Advanced Practitioner Status or are a certificate holder/working towards one. More importantly, you’ll share the teams’ values of humility, respect, empathy, work ethic, honesty, communication, and teamwork.
• Salary of £45,000 to £65,000+ pa depending on level of experience/certificates/AP status
• Full-time, 4 days/week (Totalling 40 hours)
• Shifts 10 hours (Varying between 7.30am-7.30pm), 1 hour lunch break.
• Weekend rotas are 1:6 for emergencies and bank holidays. With 2 days off in lieu of any weekends worked.
• Part-time role considered for the right applicant.
• Opportunity to support small animal charities regularly if this is of interest.
The practice values the importance of its people feeling part of a community that builds them up, connects them with their passions and encourages them to thrive. The team are constructive, encouraging and always kind to one another. Inclusivity and collaboration ensure everyone feels respected and valued. This kind of equality, compassion, and friendship unites the team and shapes the treatment given to clients with respect, empathy and complete professionalism.
You’ll be based between one branch and a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, where you’ll work collaboratively with our night team to deliver brilliantly personalised care to patients 24/7, and with the referral team, to support referral level cases for Advanced Practitioners. The clinics have a reassuring home-from-home feeling, that is hard to put into words, however understandable once entering the building.
Although experience is desired, the practice is committed to developing Vets and enhancing their skills, passions and specialties.
Benefits to be expected:
• Generously funded CPD (Certificate funding available)
• Standard pension benefit
• 7 weeks holiday, including Bank Holidays
• Long term staff benefits of enhanced parental leave (6 months paid at 90%) and sickness benefit (2 weeks at 100%).
• Plus, many more discounts, offers and health and wellbeing benefits.
