Jenna is working with a veterinary teaching hospital out in picturesque South Australia that has provided an exciting opportunity to relocate. Sponsorship is available.
The position is for a 12-month fixed term role to cover paternity leave in their primary first opinion practice. There is also the possibility of working in the emergency clinic.
There are no OOHs for this role and your work week will be Monday to Friday, part time hours will also be considered.
The practice also offers an attractive salary package with an employer contribution of 17% superannuation.
They support the development in your field of work and in turn provide a $3000 allowance towards approved activities.
The role itself consists of working a varied caseload and includes wellness services, surgery, imaging and medicine cases and much more.
You will also be presented with the opportunity to involve final year Vets and Vet Tech students, helping them develop their skill set and professional development within the field.
You will need to be...
• Enthusiastic and motivated
• Committed to performing at the highest level and delivering the highest level of customer care.
• Have proven experience in first opinion duties as well as fantastic interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferably have a background in teaching or the passion and drive to motivate and aid the development of the next generation of vet and vet tech students
The practice is a clinical teaching facility, providing veterinary clinical teaching for Vet and Vet Tech students whilst under the supervision of seasoned professionals within the Vet and Vet nursing industry.

The successful candidate should have…
Veterinary qualification with eligibility to be registered as a veterinarian in South Australia paired with at least 2 years’ experience in first opinion duties, although recent graduates will be considered.
Demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with a varied group of clients and team members.
Demonstrate a high level of written communication skills including but not limited to keeping an accurate and detailed list of medical records and referral letters and client correspondence.
