This well-established, well-equipped small animal and equine practice in Central Scotland is looking to recruit a small animal Vet.
The role is full time, with a 1 in 5 out of hours rota, with a day off after a weeknight on call and a long weekend after an on call weekend. They like to maintain a good work life balance, with three 5pm finishes a week.
The team consists of dedicated Vets, as well as skilled and capable RVNs who keep the days running smoothly. They priorities maintaining a positive working environment.
The small animal part of the practice is fully equipped with 6 consult rooms, an imaging suite, dental suite including dental x-ray, 2 theatres, endoscope, multiparameter machines and other anaesthetic monitoring equipment, as well as lab equipment allowing in house bloods, urinalysis and cytology. They have visiting specialists for orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery.
You will be working for a forward thinking practice, with an experienced team who offer clinical freedom. They are keen to do as much as possible in house.
There are nurses on site 24/7 to assist with emergencies, triaging calls and caring for inpatients. They also ensure 15 minute appointments as routine, and double appointments booked for complex cases. There are reserved book on day appointments for emergencies and they also have 30 minutes of catch up time factored in prior to finishing for the day.
