Are you searching for a progressive IT role within a well-established veterinary group?
My client is looking for an engineer who enjoys working within the forefront of business operations, as well as tackling things behind the scenes.
The ideal candidate will be Someone who has experience in day to day staff support as well as assisting to the technical improvements and new development projects for the business.
My client is a well-established veterinary group with 47 branches and 3 hospitals located across Greater London.
Having carefully designed and implemented their own bespoke Practice Management System, they continue to work closely with the developers to improve the system and challenge the latest trends out there.
What you will be doing:
You will be Assisting the IT Manager with the implementation and coordination of task within the IT department, whilst liaising with the IT team with the purpose of generating new ideas and improvements to current and new systems. You will actively contribute to projects and meetings with management, software writers and 3rd parties.
You will oversee relations & collaborations with the PMS developers, feature design & build testing, assist with new installations, daily software and hardware support of staff and the upgrading of IT hardware and software on site including overseeing build release to the group, technical documentation and branch visits.
The general day to day tasks within this role will give you an excellent exposure to various operating environments.
Key elements include:
Working with IT colleagues to support users regarding both email, main frame and IT issues (both software and hardware)
Continually Review alternatives whilst recommending improvements to our own in-house IT systems
2nd/3rd line software and hardware support for our staff across various sites.
Hands on assistance with development and support of our PMS
About you:
The ideal candidate will be suited to someone who is looking to diversify their workload and enjoy the challenge of a variable job description.
We need a candidate who is focused self-driven and feels comfortable working independently as well as in a group. Experience in leadership is desirable but not essential
To be considered for this role you will have:
Management and leadership experience
Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft with a clear understanding of Apple products
Experience of delivering IT support and maintenance.
The ability to effectively communicate with and influence management
Able to troubleshoot basic network and hardware issues while taking instructions over the phone
Hardware support (Servers, pc, network equipment, printers etc.)
Someone who is calm, doesn’t panic in difficult situations
Someone conscientious will not take risks when out of your depth
Experience with troubleshooting and configuring mobile and wireless devices
Have a driver’s license
