Full-time Vet Surgeon Role with the PDSA in Wolverhampton

We work closely with the PDSA and their hospital in Wolverhampton is looking for a vet surgeon to join their team on a full-time or part time basis.
• Salary £43,088 - £57,169 per annum (including allowances) pro rata for part-time hours – additional uplift for weekend hours worked.
• Full (37.5 hours per week) or Part-time contracts available.
• Flexible working options available regarding hours and shifts.
• No on call or OOHs.
• Centrally located.
They are looking for a qualified vet who enjoys a wide variety of cases, keeping everyday interesting whilst making a difference to peoples lives. Many of their patients are sick or injured, though they do provide preventative health services too. Most of their caseload is no insured so PDSA routinely treat more complex medical and surgical conditions. They prioritise development of clinical skills for all their vets, no matter what stage of your career, so as a team they have all the skills to deliver exceptional service. The PDSA have strong teams with excellent teamwork and all their vets benefit from a shared learning approach, building confidence and enjoyment amongst the team. They have double consult rooms for more enjoyable and supportive consulting experiences.
Their hospital in Wolverhampton is well-equipped and includes separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment. The size of their combined hospital teams allows for flexible approaches to weekend rotas and their weekend day-times are shared by vets on a rota basis, with enhanced pay and stand down time in the week when a weekend is worked, on average their vets work 1 in 8 weekends. There is no on call and their OOHs service is covered by a provider from 7pm (6pm on weekends). You’ll be situated close to the city centre, with the train station within walking distance, and staff parking is available on site. They have a spacious staff room and green outdoor space, where staff can enjoy their breaks and lunches.
