My client are a busy, well established Small Animal practice on the edge of Southampton, close to the New Forest. They are expanding and seeking an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join and complement their team ideally on a full time basis, although part time candidates will also be considered. The role also includes a shared Saturday morning (9am – 12pm) rota (for full and part time) but they do not cover OOHs.
Location: Hampshire
Role: Veterinary Surgeon
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE
Hours: Full Time (part time considered), with Saturday morning rota and no OOHs
Benefits:
4 weeks holiday + 8 bank holidays’ (FTE)
Life assurance 4 x annual salary
Contributory pension scheme
Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
Dedicated CPD allowance
Funding and support towards certificates available
Exclusive company discounts and rewards
You will have solid GP Veterinary experience, and be confident in occasional sole charge. A team player is essential, with great communication skills and someone capable of providing the highest level of veterinary care. An interest in ultrasonography or medicine would be desired but is not essential and they do have orthopaedic equipment on site and are open to investing in further equipment, depending on skill sets and interests.
The practice owner holds multiple certificates, and is offering a unique position that offers a varied caseload and support to develop your skills in multi disciplines. The current team consists of the practice owner, another full time Vet, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and a dedicated receptionist team (the nurses have a combined experience of 50 years!).
With a well-structured rota and diary, you will be exposed to consultations and ops on a daily basis. With hours between 9am – 7pm (last appointment at 6pm!).
