Job Ref:

SV251688
My client is looking for a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their thriving and growing practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants flexibility, clinical variety, and the chance to help shape the next stage of development while enjoying genuine work-life balance.
The practice is purpose-built and equipped to a very high standard, with three consult rooms, a full in-house laboratory, digital CR radiography, ultrasound, and a fully equipped surgical theatre complete with diathermy, capnography, and multi-parameter monitoring. Anaesthetic gases are piped throughout the surgery, providing a modern and efficient working environment.
The caseload is varied and rewarding, ranging from routine consults to complex medical cases and orthopaedic surgery. Patients include dogs, cats, reptiles, and even raptors, with more than 30% of the active client base insured and the majority on health plans.
You’ll be supported by a dedicated, long-standing nursing team with varied expertise and a highly experienced Practice Manager. This collaborative environment ensures you can focus on delivering outstanding clinical care while also being part of a practice that values teamwork and professional development.
Flexibility is at the heart of this role, with options for both full-time and part-time hours. A minimum of 25 hours per week is preferred, ideally including 1 in 3 weekends, but my client is happy to discuss alternative working patterns.
The ideal candidate will be personable, forward-thinking, and confident across routine surgery and medicine. In return, my client offers excellent opportunities for growth and development, with CPD actively encouraged and funded, including support for certificates. For those with leadership or ownership aspirations, the role can also open the door to future partnership opportunities.
The package includes:
**Salary up to £60,000 (DOE)
**Relocation support within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship if required (A+ rated sponsor)
**5.6 weeks annual leave plus additional benefits including pension and healthcare
**Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
**Generous colleague discounts including up to 30% off at major retailers
**Excellent career progression opportunities within a supportive, forward-thinking environment
This is a superb opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in their career with the flexibility, caseload variety, and support to thrive both professionally and personally.
