Join a friendly and caring team who provide exceptional service to their clients and individually tailored compassionate care to the animals they see!
Their Head of Clinic and Principal Vet, joined them in 2019, bringing a wealth of experience and has played a key role in the transformation of the practice. He was appointed Director in 2022 and enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, with a key interest in pet behaviour and exotic pets. Although he now spends most of his time behind the scenes working on the business side of the practice, he is always happy to support his team and is committed to creating a positive, progressive environment where both pets and people thrive.
They are looking to expand their Vet team with the addition of an experienced GP Vet. This role is perfect for a Vet Surgeon who is confident in working sole charge and eager to take the next step in their career. You will be given the clinical freedom to work up your cases the way you see fit, with full support to pursue your interests, whether that means developing a specific area of expertise or growing the caseload in your chosen field, they will support you with every step – including the opportunity to introduce new services that reflect your passions and enhance the care they can provide. More importantly, you’ll become an integral part of a supportive, independent practice that is growing with purpose – where your voice is heard and your ideas are valued, allowing you to make a real difference.
This role provides more than just day-to-day clinical work. If you want to play a strategic role in shaping the direction of a practice – then this opportunity will give you exactly that. This is a fantastic platform for anyone looking to hone their leadership skills, contribute to strategic decisions, and work closely with the director to drive the practice forward.
Both standalone clinics offer excellent facilities, featuring a dedicated prep area, theatre, diagnostic suite, and all the usual equipment, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, and a full Idexx in-house lab. Both clinics will be renovated later this year, with the additional interest of investing in a dental X-ray soon.
They understand the importance of work-life balance, so their vets work a 4-day week (9-7) with just 1:3 Saturday mornings only (9-12). Their out-of-hours is outsourced, meaning there are no OOH or on-call duties, and your evenings, Sundays, and bank holidays are free, giving you sufficient time to recharge.
Your days will include a mix of consultations and procedures. With morning consults finishing at 11.30 am and evening consults starting at 4 pm, meaning there is plenty of time in between to handle the manageable procedures list, work up your cases, catch up on admin and make phone calls. The last consult slot is at 6.30 pm, so you’ll be out the door at 7 pm.
Further benefits include:
• 33 days holiday
• CPD is encouraged, with certificates supported
• Professional fees paid for RCVS and VDS
• Easily accessible clinics with fantastic transport links
• Short trip to central London via the Elizabeth Line or National Rail
• Minutes from Heathrow
